Tokyo Techno Express, Go Go!

• Jeff mills came to Nippon, and his incredible DJ play amazed all Tokyo technoheads (1994/10/28, Liquid Room, Sinjuku). He played mainly 'Waveforms' of him and his comrade Robert Hood, that was so chilling cool, but the song which moved clouds to tears was Mad Mike's 'Amazon'.

  In Nippon, some guys say that Jeff is 'avangarde' and his records are 'parts for DJ play'. No! We don't think so. What he has made is REAL music, and it is rooted to soul, we realized it on that night.

  And few days later, we happend to see Jeff in Akihabara (don't you know? It is the greatest technized area of the world). Searching for new equipments, he never smiled, never laughed, never spoke to his guide. Walking around like a energetic old man, he only gazed at machines seriously. We didn't speak to him , though we want to do so. In Nippon, no fool disturbs samurai on his training .

• In Tokyo, Nippon's first 'Techno only record shop' opened 1994/10/22. It is 'Cisco Shibuya Techno Division'. The day, numbers of techno manias queued in front of the shop before it opens (No wonder nothing to by wasn't there when we reached, oh...), and David Holms (had been in Nippon to DJ last night) played records, they say.
